Joanna Tarpley Turner 

ALBANY — Mrs. Joanna (Jo) Tarpley Turner 80, of Albany died Thursday, July 26, 
2007 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. 

The funeral service will be Tuesday 1:00 PM at Andersonville National Cemetery 
in Andersonville, GA. Bro. Phil Streetman officiating. 

A native of Athens, GA, Mrs. Turner was married to her husband Mr. John Turner 
August 27, 1945 in Decatur, GA. She has lived in Albany since 1945 where she 
was of the Baptist faith and past-member of the Albany Garden Club. Mrs. Turner 
was an artist, seamstress and an animal lover. 

Survivors include her husband, Mr. John Turner of Albany; daughters, Joni 
Turner Pitts and her husband Don of Lake Blackshear and Sheree Turner of 
Albany; and grandson, Jim Turner of Albany.
