Funeral services will be held Monday, 11 a.m. at Banks Funeral Chapel, with burial in Hillcrest Cemetery. The Rev. Tommy McDonald will officiate. Born December 16, 1927 in Worth County, Mrs. Turner was formerly employed with Belk's and Roses of Albany. She also operated a booth at Kitty's Flea Market. Mrs. Turner volunteered in the community by providing blankets for the newborn at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital and dolls for abused children through the Albany Police Department. She lived most of her life in the Dougherty County area. She was the daughter of the late James Eli Bradford McLemore and Anniebelle Priest McLemore. She was the widow of Theron R. (Dickie) Turner, who died January 21, 1982. She was a member of Sunnyside Baptist Church. Survivors include four daughters, Brenda Payne of Enterprise, AL, Gayle Monroe of Leesburg, Marsha Baker of Dawson and Pam Dawkins of Ariton, AL; a son, Richard Turner of Panama City, FL; two brothers, John W. McLemore of Sylvester and Clinton McLemore of Knoxville; and 11 grandchildren and 15 great- grandchildren. The family will receive friends today (Sunday), from 4 p.m.-6 p.m. at the funeral home.
