A native of Cuthbert, GA, Mr. Walters lived most of his life in Albany. He 
graduated from the University of Georgia and the University of Georgia Law 
School. During World War II, he served in the Army Air Corps as a P-51 pilot 
stationed in England. Mr. Walters was admitted to the bar in 1949, and began 
his legal career in Albany with the firm of Peacock, Perry, and Kelley, 
beginning a 50 year association with H. Holcombe Perry. He was associated with 
the firm of Perry and Walters at the time of his death. He served as Dougherty 
County Attorney from 1962-1979, and served as the Dougherty County School Board 
attorney for 35 years. In 1972, he was admitted as a fellow of the American 
College of Trial Lawyers. 

Mr. Walters was preceded in death by his wife: Lucy Yancey Walters, his sister: 
Leila Walters Murray, and his brother Arthur Walters. 

His funeral service will be TUESDAY 11 AM at St. Paul''s Episcopal Church with 
interment to follow at Crown Hill Cemetery. The Rev. Read Heydt will officiate.
