Mrs. Dorothy Corinne DuPree Walton,age 98 was born in Fort Valley, GA on August 
6, 1906, the daughter of Evelyn Powers DuPree and Welton Dyle Dupree. She died 
November 13, 2004 in Charlotte, NC. Funeral services will be 11 AM at Cedar 
Hill Cemetery Dawson, GA . 

Preceded in death by her husband, George Stokes Walton, a daughter, Dorothy W. 
Smith and a brother C. W. “Red” DuPree. She moved from LaGrange, GA to Rome, GA 
when her husband joined the law firm now known as Smith Shaw Maddox LLC. She 
was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church in Rome, GA.. She is survived 
by a daughter, Marian W. Duggan, Charlotte, NC, six grandchildren and fifteen 
great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers donation may be made to Hospice of 
Charlotte, 1420 East Seventh Street, Charlotte,NC 28204.
