Lela Mae Whitehead-Boone

ALBANY — Lela Mae Whitehead-Boone, 77, of McArthur Street died Monday, December 
2, 2002, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Second Mt. Zion Baptist Church in 
Sasser with interment in the church cemetery. The Rev. Henry Mathis, pastor, 
and the Rev. Jack Johnson will officiate.

A native of Terrell County, Mrs. Whitehead-Boone was a homemaker. She attended 
Terrell County public schools. She was a member of Second Mt. Zion Baptist 
Church in Sasser where she served on the usher board and deaconess board. She 
was also a member of the Eastern Stars.

Survivors include her husband, L.B. Boone of Albany; one sister, Mary Coleman 
of Moultrie.
