George James Whitfield

ALBANY — George James Whitfield, 38, died Saturday, February 1, 2003, at Phoebe 
Putney Memorial Hospital.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Church of the Living Word in Albany 
with interment in New Provisor Baptist Church cemetery. The Rev. Janie Rambeau 
will officiate.

Born May 6, 1964, in Albany, Mr. Whitfield was a job trainer for American Work 
Inc. He attended Dougherty County public schools and was a member of House of 
Refuge Baptist Church in Albany.

Survivors include two sisters, Suzanne Walls of Albany and Kesha Whitfield of 
Leesburg; six brothers, Benjamin Whitfield, Roy Whitfield, Marcello Whitfield 
and Albert Whitfield, all of Leesburg, Kennie Price and John Arthur Whitfield, 
both of Albany.
