James Williams 

ALBANY — James Williams, 46, of Mockingbird St., Albany, died July 8, 2007, at 
Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. 

The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 14, 2007, at Mt. Zion Baptist 
Church, 1905 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, Albany, with interment in Riverside 
Cemetery. The Rev. Dr. Daniel Simmons, pastor and the Rev. Solomon Loud will 
officiate. 

Born May 20, 1961, in Arlington, Mr. Williams attended H.T. Singleton High 
School in Morgan and retired from the city of Albany. He was a member of Mt. 
Zion Baptist Church. 

Survivors include his wife, Naomi White Williams of Albany; three sons, James 
Williams Jr., Jarvis Williams and Norman Smith III, all of Albany; two 
daughters, Marvin Williams and Dana Williams, both of Albany; his parents, J.W. 
Williams of Albany and Wylene Daniels Williams of Jacksonville, NC; two 
brothers, Billy and Brenda Williams and Tarence Williams, both of Albany; four 
sisters, Evelyn and Wayne Munn and Mary Hayes, both of Jacksonville, NC, Wylena 
Beach and Beatrice Williams, both of Albany; one grandchild, Johnthan Barnes of 
Albany; a mother-in-law, Minnie L. White of Albany. 

The remains of Mr. Williams will be placed in the church Saturday from 12 p.m. 
until the funeral hour.
