Gatewood Williams

ALBANY — Gatewood "Gator" Williams, 45, of Yorktown Avenue died Wednesday, 
October 16, 2002, at his residence.

The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Mt. Hope Baptist Church in Lee County 
with interment in Riverside Cemetery. The Rev. Daniel Clinton will officiate.

A native of Lee County, Mr. Williams was a self-employed landscaper. He 
attended Dougherty County public schools and Mt. Hope Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Damian Eafford of Atlanta and Johnathan Hendrick of 
Albany; two daughters, Katrina L. Eafford of Atlanta and Monica Cobb of 
Sylvester; his mother, Ruthie Peterson-Williams of Albany; five brothers, Ruben 
Gene Williams, Harris James Williams and Theodore Williams, all of Albany, 
Milton Williams of Atlanta and Timothy Wayne Williams of Seattle, Wash.; two 
sisters, Patricia Ann Keith and Cathy LaVon King, both of Albany; and four 
grandchildren.
