Rossie Nancy Barksdale was born March 17, 1873 in Georgia.  She married James 
Alonzo Felts in St. Petersburg, Hillsborough County, Florida.  She died 
January 16, 1901 in Palma Sola, Manatee County, Florida after giving birth to 
her sixth child.  Rossie is a sister to Sallie Shine Barksdale Cooper whose 
photo is also submitted to this site.

She was the daughter of Andrew Jackson Barksdale and Mary Elizabeth Coart 
Miller and granddaughter of William Barksdale and Nancy Long.

Rossie is this submitter's great grandmother on her maternal grandfather's 
side of the family.

Additional Comments:
Rossie's parents - Andrew and Mary - married in Dougherty County, Georgia and 
must have lived there at one time.  Both Andrew and Mary had been married 
before.  Rossie's grandfather - William Barksdale - lived in Dougherty County, 
Georgia and is buried in the Pine Bluff Baptist Church Cemetery.
