Raleigh White I, W. Raleigh White of said state and County, being of sound and disposing mind and memory, do make this my last will and testament. Item-1 I direct that my body be buried in a Christian like manner suitable to my circumstances in life, the place and details of which I leave to my wife if living; otherwise by her side wherever she may be buried. I direct that a suitable monument be erected over my grave, the expenses of same and other financial expenses to be paid out of my estate. Item-2 I direct that my lawful debts if any, be paid by my Executrix as soon after death as practicable. Item-3 I hereby bequeath and devise all of my estate both real and personal, wherever the same may be located, including life insurance to my said wife, Nora White if she is living at the time of my death; in the event she should not survive me, I hereby bequeath and devise all of the same to my step-daughter Mrs. Dorothy Hawley, or to her surviving child or children, if she be not in life. In the event that both my said wife and my said step-daughter should not survive me, and in the event that my said step-daughter should leave no surviving child or children, I bequeath and devise to my brother in law, G. W. Rowe of Hilton Village, Virginia, one fifth of my estate, provided that the same shall not exceed the sum of $2000.00 and all of the remainder of my estate I hereby bequeath and devise, both real and personal including insurance to my sister Mrs. Elizabeth White widow of P. H. White of Windsor, North Carolina. W. Raleigh White Item-4 I hereby appoint my said wife the Executrix of this my last will and testament and relieve her of the necessity of giving bond, of making any inventory of my estate and of making any report to the Court of Ordinary. All she is requested to do is to probate this will in Common form and carry out the terms herein. In witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this the 29th day of January, 1937 W. Raleigh White Signed, sealed, declared and published by W. Raleigh White as his last will and testament in the presence of the undersigned as witnesses thereto, being called individually and specially, he W.
