BOWDEN FAMILY CEMETERY

Lithia Springs (Douglas County), Georgia
This family cemetery is on the north side of Bankhead Highway,
just west of its intersection with Thornton Road. It is across
Bankhead from the Bowden home, between Parkview Church of God
and a small car wash. The cemetery is laid out in four rows: 

Row 1 (the westernmost row): 

Double marker for:
John Bowden (h/o Mary Bowden) Mary Bowden (w/o John Bowden)
Born December 30, 1825 Born June 17, 1829
Died February 3, 1891 Died July 10, 1878


One un-inscribed fieldstone 

Row 2: 

Two box tombs, un-inscribed. One appears to be a double grave. The other one has been shored up with cinder blocks. 

One small marble marker, un-inscribed.

Row 3: 

Two un-inscribed stones. 

A marble base with the stone missing.
