B. Harris, a young and highly respected citizen of Douglas county was tamping a blast in a well for Geo. Turner of Douglasville when it exploded and he was severely hurt. It is thought that one of his eyes will be lost. He is otherwise badly burnt and hurt. It is hoped he will recover. Jackson Evans who was striking the tamping bar, was also severely hurt.
