The Carroll County Times, July 18, 1873
OBITUARY:  Died near Chapel Hill, Douglas county, Georgia, the 31st Day of May 
1873, Miss Euphrasia Morgan, age fifteen years and five months.  The deceased 
was the only daughter of Eli and Amanda Morgan, leaving kind parents and three 
brothers to mourn their irreparable loss.  She was a consistant member of the 
M. E. Church the last four years of her life, and was a dutiful child to her 
parents, kind affectionate and ever loving to her brothers and friends.  No 
one knew her but to love her. Just two days before she was taken sick, she was 
with one of her playmates gathering strawberries and their conversation being 
directed to death and their  future prospects for heaven, she remarked that 
she had no fears of death, and tried to live so as to be prepared at all times 
to meet her Savior.  Her sufferings during her illness were not very great, 
lasting only five days.
   ......The funer services were conducted by Rev. W. A. Lane.  There was a 
large and attentive audience present, who were deeply affected by the sermon, 
which was preached from 2nd Samuel 11th chapter and 23rd verse.  Old people 
can say of a truth they never witnessed such a scene upon such an occasion.  
Saints were made to rejoice, who shouted and praised the name of the most high.
  The oldest brother of the deceased was soyundly converted, and exclaimed 
that he could give her up now, and could go to heaven too, when the Savior 
Calls.  An Observer.
