Surveyed by Debra J. Pate Copy Right by Debra Pate Monday, March 22, 2004 Directions: You turn on River Street from the Blakely square. You will come to a fork. Stay to the right of the fork; this is still River Street. Continue until you cross over Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd./Hwy 62 By Pass. The cemetery will be on out on the right. It has a chain link fence around it. I have listed these graves in rows, from left to right, in the order in which they are buried. There are no row numbers posted in the cemetery....the row numbers are my own, in order to help me determine possible relationships to those buried in the cemetery. There are graves marked by bricks, rocks, etc. Also, there is a number of unmarked graves in this cemetery. Some names are added at the end of the cemetery transcription who numerous family members say they know for certain are buried in Sardis Cemetery. Some family members attended the funerals. Anything in parenthesis are my notes. ***I am researching many of those buried in the Sardis Cemetery. If you have information on those buried in Sardis Cemetery or are connected to anyone buried in Sardis, Please contact me.
