The first messenger from this church was J. W. Anglin. Hilton Church is situated on the Central of Georgia Railroad in Early County near the Chattahoochee River. The first pastor was Rev. R. B. Taylor. He served for two years baptizing 5 into the church. In 1890 there was no report as to the pastor. Rev. J. G. Corley was pastor in 1891, baptizing 1. He was followed by Rev. W. P. Stewart in 1902, baptizing 2. Brother John Martin then became pastor. The Minutes do not disclose for how many years Brother Martin served as pastor of this church. Brother J. L. Pate was pastor in 1897 and 1898, baptizing 4. Brother J. T. Sauls was pastor in 1900 followed by Bro. J. L. Pate in 1901. Two baptisms were reported for that year. Then came Bro. J. E. Dykes, who baptized 4. Brother J. A. Rooks succeeded him in 1903, no baptisms. Bro. R. C. Poole served in 1904 and baptized 6. Then Bro. J. A. Rooks for 2 years 1905 and 1906 baptizing 3. Then came Bro. R.A. Morgan as pastor in 1907. No report for 1908. He was followed by J. E. Dykes who again served for two years. No baptisms were reported. Bro. E.T. Dawson served as pastor in 1912 and 1913, baptizing 2. Then came Brother Walter Dean for one year 1914. Brother J. I. Quattlebaum succeeded him and Brother J. L. Pate again became pastor after him in 1908. Brother J. P. Sauls served as pastor in 1919, 1920 and 1921. Then followed Brother T. M. Mathews in 1922- 1924, baptizing 3. He was succeeded by Bro. R. Smith in 1925. Brother W. T. Bodenhammer became pastor in 1926 and served 2 years baptizing 12. He was followed by Bro. R. W. Janes in 1928 baptizing 1. Then came Brother W. E. Brown in 1929 to date, baptizing 10. The Clerks serving Hilton Baptist Church have been as follows: W. T. Jay 1888, 1889. The report is silent as to the report in 1890. O. E. Hall succeeded as Clerk in 1891 and served to 1894. No report in 1894 and 1895. J. M. Anglin was clerk in 1897. H. H. Odum in 1898. No report in 1899; J. M. Pate to 1902; George E. Tison to 1906, C. A. Belisle to 1915; Duncan Hall to 1930; E. L. Williams in 1930 and 1931, to date. The present total membership of this church is about 90.
