A native of Miller County, Ga., Mrs. Bridges was the daughter of Robert D. McNair and Lucy C. Franklin. She was a homemaker and a member of Rocky Ridge Baptist Church. Mrs. Bridges is survived by five sons, George H. Bridges of Taylor, S. C., David L. Bridges of Falls Church, Va., Billy O. Bridges of Rocky Mount, S. C., William T. Bridges of Midwest City, Ol., and Bobby J. Bridges of Lithia, Fla.; four daughters, Lucy M. Anderson of Iron City, Ga., Jean Lindsey of Donalsonville, Lilly B. Searless of Valrico, Fla. and Sue Robelen of Monticello, Fla.; one sister, Mrs. Bobby Lee Taylor of Blakely; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were Tuesday, August 29, 1995, at Rocky Ridge Baptist Church with the Rev. Bob Burnett and the Rev. Fred Hill officiating. Interment followed at Bush Cemetery near Colquitt, Ga., with Keith Bowen, Bobby Moulton, Joey Lovering, Emmerson Skipper, Robert Cleveland and Bruce Adams serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were Wayne Carr, Daulton Bowen, Ralph Glass, Leslie Widner and Cline Wells. Evans-Skipper Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Source: Early County News ?
