Loyless, Jr. John Chesterfield (J. C.) Loyless, Jr. 75, a member of one of Early county's oldest families, a well known and highly regarded citizen, died of a heart attack at his North Main street residence Tuesday night at 8:20 o'clock. He was born in Early County on October 8, 1907, and had lived all of his life here. He was the son of John Chesterfield Loyless, Sr. and Albina Singletary Loyless. Mr. Loyless was a retired member of the Early County Board of Registrars and served this body as chairman and administrator. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church. The funeral was held Thursday, July 7, in the chapel of Manry-Jordan Funeral Home conducted by Dr. John McGowan. Interment followed in the Blakely cemetery. Pall bearers were Crozier Batchelor, Charlie Houston, Bernard Herring, Tommy Jenkins, Oree Thompson and W. D. Knighton, Survivors are the widow, Mrs. Mattie Redding Loyless, Blakely; daughter, Mrs. Barbara Bordeaux, Raleigh, N. C.; brother, Bill Loyless, Albany; sister, Mrs. Ruby L. John Chesterfield Loyless, Jr. was a son of John Chesterfield Loyless, Sr. and Albina Singletary. He married Mattie F. Redding 23 August 1936 in Fort Gaines, Clay Co., GA.
