Her hand is outstretched to beckon me on oh, I sometimes look at her picture in that little white casket And kiss it and cry And wonder why But as the poet wrote We'll understand it better by and by And if only I could see down the corridors of time I would not call her back To bless our happy home But would rather instead Fall on my knees and thank my God For His best way But she was lovely and sweet to us And sometimes in the shadows of the night I lie and pray It seems I can almost catch a vision of her beckoning hand which say Daddy come home Where we'll never part again And if there were naught else That would be enough alone To make me want to go to Heaven Oh, that shout that fills my soul Just to know Of that glad and happy reunion Round the Great White Throne Where all sad good byes are forgotten And all tears are wiped away Forever and for aye And when here is over I intend by the Grace of God To meet my Darling there And clasp her to my aching breast And shout the victory death The grave and hell And live eternally With my Lord who Saves and who keeps and comforts me Never more to part Hallelujah and Hallelujah Forever and for aye.
