Monday. She was 85 years of age. Born in Troy, Alabama, on October 4, 1866, Mrs. Loyless had been a resident of Early County for about 40 years and had a large circle of friends who received the news of her passing with sadness. She was a member of the Troy Primitive Baptist Church. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 4 o'clock in the Sowhatchee church, with the Reverend W. T. Wiley officiating. Interment was in Sowhatchee Cemetery, a large number of friends attending the sad rites. Surviving Mrs. Loyless, who was the widow of the late Melvin Loyless and a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Meredith, are a brother, Charlie Meredith of Kins_ _n, Ala., and the following children: Charlie Loyless, of Jacksonville, Fla.; Mrs. Phil Causey, of Hilton, Ga.; Mrs. Oliver Goff, of Moultrie, Ga.; Mrs. Willie Corley and Mrs. Shelby McKnight, of Blakely.
