Claudia L. McKnight Homemaker


Claudia Loyless McKnight, 86, of Blakely died Sunday,
June 27, 1999, at Early Memorial Nursing Home.


Mrs. McKnight was born June 8, 1913, to the late
Melvin and Fannie Meredith Loyless in Coffee County,
Ala.  She was a homemaker who lived most of her life
in Early County.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Shelby
McKnight, Sr.


Survivors of Mrs. McKnight include one son, Shelby
McKnight, Jr., and two grandchildren.


Grave side services are today, Wednesday, June 30,
1999, at 11 a. m. at Sowhatchee Cemetery with Rev.
Travis Sturgill officiating.


Manry-Jordan-Hodges Funeral Home was in charge of
arrangements.

Claudia Mae Loyless was married first to Blueford
Knight on 10 June 1939 Early Co., GA Book M, Page 290/
95.  She married second to Shelby McKnight, Sr. on 14
december 1946 inEarly Co., GA Book M, Page 502.

Shelby McKnight, Sr.


Shelby McKnight, Sr., 79, of Blakely died Friday, June
19, 1992 at his home.


Mr. McKnight was born February 4, 1913 in Early County
to the late Aaron King McKnight and the late Hattie
Temples McKnight.  A lifelong resident of Early
County, he was a retired farmer and a member of
Westview United Methodist Church.  Mr. McKnight was an
U. S. Army veteran of World War II. 


Graveside services were held Monday, June 22, 1992,
11:00 a. m., at Sowhatchee Cemetery with Reverend
Dennis Deese officiating. Manry-Jordan-Hodges Funeral
Home, Inc. was in charge of arrangements.


Mr. McKnight is survived by his wife, Claudia Loyless
McKnight of Blakely; one son, Shelby McKnight, Jr. of
Blakely; three sisters, Betty English, Clara White,
and Lillian Hodges, all of Blakely; two brothers,
Chester McKnight of Blakely and Hiram McKnight of
Albany, Georgia; and three grandchildren and one step
grandchild.
