K. McKnight Dies Following Heart Attack Aaron King McKnight, 79, a resident of Early County for 55 years, died suddenly at his place of residence in Cedar Hill Homes, Thursday morning, June 7. Although he had been in ill health for three years, his death came unexpectedly and brought sorrow to his friends and acquaintances. Born in Alabama, August 6, 1882, Mr. McKnight had been in this county since 1907 and engaged in farming during his active days. Funeral services for Mr. McKnight were held Friday afternoon at 4 P. M. in the chapel of Manry-Minter Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. Cecil Wimberly and Rev. Vernon T. Vaugham. Burial followed in the Blakely Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers; Harvey and Mickey McDonald, Herbert, Wayne and Tony Swords, and Bruce McGowan. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Hattie Temples McKnight, Blakely; four sons, Shelby and Chester McKnight, Blakely; Woody and Hiram McKnight, Albany; four daughters, Mrs. Phillip Sheffield, Mrs. J. L. Swords, Mrs. Ralph English, Blakely; Mrs. Herschel White, Orlando, Fla; a sister, Mrs. Lena Nobles, Columbus, and 19 grandchildren and 5 great- grandchildren.
