A native of Jakin, he was the son of the late John B. Webb and Mrs. Clifford Poole Webb. He was a member of the Jakin Baptist church where he served as a deacon and teacher of the adult men class. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Clarksville, Tenn. and was retired from the U.S. Navy where he served as chief petty officer. He had lived here for the past 17 years. Funeral services were held Sunday, March 19 at the Jakin Baptist Church with Rev. Wade Hazen and Rev. John Dudley officiating. interment was in the Salem-Seminole Cemetery with Edsel W. Bryan Funeral Services in charge of the arrangements. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Dorothy Parker Webb, Donalsonville; one son and a daughter-in-law, David and Elaine Webb, Charlottesville, Va.; one brother, J.B. Webb, Altha, Fla.; three sisters, Mrs. Jewell Glass, Lake City, Mrs. Estell Davis, Winter Garden and Mrs. Dixie Banks, Orlando; one granddaughter, Miss kimberly Webb, Charlottesville; several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Max Chapman, Johnny Miller, Don Hand, Rudoplh Reese, L.W. Frasier and Charles Burke. Honorary pallbearers were members of his Sunday School class, J.W.
