Pearl, well known Blakely citizen, died in the Early Memorial Hospital early, Saturday morning following a long illness. Mrs. Pearl was a member of a pioneer and prominent family, the daughter of Joseph Hightower Loyless and Ella Allen Loyless, and was born December 18, 1887. She was a native of Early County and had spent most of her life here in Blakely where she had many friends who held her in high esteem. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Blakely. Funeral services were held in the Chapel of Manry-Jordan Funeral Home Sunday afternoon, the Rev. Andy Lanier, of Blakely, and the Rev. Doyle Smith, pastor of the First Nazaren Church of Moultrie officiating. Interment followed in the Blakley Cemetery with the following serving as pall bearers: Alex Howell, Oree Thompson, Fletcher Thompson, Phillip Moore, Carroll Rogers, Bill Loyless. Survivors are the widower, a daughter, Mrs. John I. King and 2 grandsons, John David King and Chuck King, all of Dothan; 3 brothers, Vance Loyless, Miami, Guerry Loyless, Blakely, Murray Loyless, East Point, GA., and a sister, Mrs. C. H.
