The graveside funeral service of George Weaver Sasser, 77, who died Thursday, 
was to be conducted today at 3 p.m. in Oak Grove Cemetery.
A native and life long resident of Early County, Mr. Sasser was a member of 
Arlington United methodist Church and a retired roofer and farmer.  He was a 
member of the Arlington Lions Club and served as its president on five 
different occasions.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Bernice Gordon Sasser of Arlington; a 
daughter, Mrs. Barbara Fincher of Arlington; two sisters, Mrs. Frances Metts of 
Augusta and Mrs. Inez Grimsley of Fort Gaines; two brothers, Felix A. Sasser of 
North Augusta and Welton Sasser of Arlington, four grandchildren and two great-
grandchildren.
Manry-Jordan Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
