Miss Adna McNair, 92, of Damascus, died at Mocking Bird Rest Home, Geneva, Ga. Wednesday night at 10:15 o'clock, succumbing to a lengthy illness. Miss McNair, a native of Early county and the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Felix Lawrence McNair, was born April 10, 1869, and had resided most of her life in Early County. She was formerly postmaster at Damascus and was a member of the Damascus Methodist Church, and had many friends who learned with regret of her passing. Her funeral was held at the graveside in Damascus cemetery Friday afternoon at 3 o'clock, with the Reverend W. E. McTier officiating. Interment followed with Manry-Minter Funeral Home in charge of arrangements and Willet McDowell, Cecil Godwin, Joe Bryan, H. J. Wright, Billy J. Lewis, and W. H. Haddock serving as pallbearers. Surviving Miss McNair are three nieces, Mrs. Hennie Lou Bell of Blakely, Mrs. Early Taylor of Gainesville, Fla., and Mrs. J. N. Sistrunk of Asheboro, N.
