"Marriage at Blakely - Mr. Jno. L. Underwood, Jr. Weds Miss Emmie Howard"
 
Blakely, Ga. June 12 - (Special) - Last night, at the
residence of the bride's parents, Dr. and Mrs. T. M.
Howard, Miss Emmie Howard and Mr. Jno. L. Underwood,
Jr. were united in the holy bonds of matrimony. Rev.
W. H. Patterson performing the ceremony. The marriage
was a very quiet one indeed, only a few relatives of
the contracting parties witnessing the ceremony. Miss
Howard is the only child of Dr. and Mrs. Howard and
is a young lady of rare beauty and many
accomplishments. Mr. Underwood is one of the managers
of the Surprise Store and is one of Blakely's most
worthy and energetic young men.
