All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/ga/gafiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Beth Collins http://www.genrecords.net/emailregistry/vols/00011.html#0002523 November 20, 2009, 9:52 am Written: August 6, 1771 Recorded: June 16, 1772 Colonial Deed Book X1, pp. 507-508 Georgia This Indenture made the Sixth day of august in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and seventy one and in the Eleventh Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the third by the Grace of God of Great Britain France and Ireland King Defender of the faith and so forth etc; George Heckal in the Parish of St. Mathews in the province aforesaid Planter of the one part and John Heckal in the said Parish and province and Hannah Margaretha his wife of the other part Witnesseth that the said George Heckal as well for and Consideration of the Natural Love and affection which he hath and Beareth of the said John Heckal and Hannah Margaretha his wife as also for the _____ Mainteinance and Preferment of the said John Heckal and Hannah Margaretha his wife Hath given granted aliened and confirmed and by these presents doth give grant alien enfeoff and confirm unto the said John Heckal and his wife Hannah Margaretha all that Tract of land containing fifty Acres lying and being in the Town District of Ebenezer in said Province of Georgia bounded South East by Land of Peter Armsdorff South west by Land of Friedrick Bruckner and No. East by the Garden Lots of Ebenezer also a Town Lott of Ebenezer containing Sixty feet in from and Ninety feet in length No Nine Between Thomas Schweigofer and Michael Reiser also a two acre and one Lott joining so. Weston the above Tract at the time of Survey Made which said Tract of fifty acres of land said Town Lott and the two acre Garden Lott (was originally Granted by his Excellency Henry Ellis Esqr. at that time being Governor in said province dated the first Day of Apr 1757 unto Veit Landfelder in St Mathews parish and of Georgia but said Veit Landfelder hath sold said fifty Acres said town Lott and Two acres Garden Lott to the said George Heckal the second day of Sept 1767) unto the said John Heckal and his wife Hannah Margareth with all Houses out houses Buildings and Improvements Timber, timber Trees Advantages, and Hereditaments whatsoever in any Manner appertaining, and the reversion and reversions and Remainder and Remainders Rents Issues and profits of the said premises and also the Estate Right Title Interest Property Claim and Demand Whatsoever of him the said George Heckal of in and to the said Messuage or Tenement Lands and premises and of in and to every part thereof with the appurtenances and all Deed Evidences and Writings concerning the said premises only and in the Hands or Custody of the said George Heckal or ____ he may get or come by without suit in law To have and to hold the said Messuage or Tenement Lands and premises hereby given and granted or Mentioned or intended to be given & granted unto the said John Heckal and his wife Hannah Margaretha their Heirs or assigns to the only proper use and Behoof of they the said John Heckal and his wife Hannah Margaretha his wife their Heirs or assigns forever, and the said George Heckal for himself his heirs or Assigns or administrators doth Covenant and grant to and with the said John Heckal and Hannah Margaretha his wife their Heirs or assigns shall and Lawfully may from hence forth for ever hereafter peaceably and Quietly have hold occupy Possess and enjoy the said Messuage Tenement Lands Hereditaments and hereby given and granted or Mention’d and Intended so to be with their appurtenances free Clear and Discharged of and former and other Gifts Grants Bargain Sales leases Jointures Dowers Estates Rents Rent Charges Arrearages of Rents Statutes Judgements Recognizances Statutes Merchant and of the Salable Extents and of and from all other Title Troubles and Incumbrances whatsoever hath Made Committed done suffered or to be hath made Committed done or suffered by him the said George Heckal his heirs Executors and Administrators or and other person or persons lawfully or Equitable Claiming or to Claim by from or under him them or any or others In Witness Whereof I have Sett My Hand and Seal ------- Signed Sealed and Delivered In the Presence of Johannes Kolfroburgur his Jacob Brekler George H Hackle John Worlech (?) mark Georgia Before me John Adam Treutlen one of his majesty Justices assigned to keep the peace for the Parish of Saint Mathew in the Province aforesaid Personally John Kollenburger of said parish Labourer who being duly sworn Declare that he saw the Within Named George Heckal Signs Seal and as his Act and Deed / for the _____ purposes therein Mentioned/ Deliver the within Instrument of Writing and that he also saw Jacob Brekler and John Worlech (?) the other Two subscribing witnesses Sign their Names as he did himself as witnesses thereto ~ ~ ~ ~ Johannes Kolfroburgur Sworn this 25th day of May 1772 before me John A.
