All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/ga/gafiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Beth Collins http://www.genrecords.net/emailregistry/vols/00011.html#0002523 November 20, 2009, 9:56 am Written: September 22, 1767 Recorded: June 16, 1772 Colonial Deed Book X1, pp. 505-507 Georgia This Indenture made the Twenty Second day of September in the seventh Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the third by the Grace of God of Great Britain France and Ireland King Defender of the faith and so forth and in the year of our Lord one thousand seven Hundred and sixty seven Between Veit Landfelder of the parish of St. Mathews in the province of Georgia Planter and Ursula his wife of the one part and George Heckel of the said parish in said province Taylor of the other part Witnesseth that for and consideration of the sum of Thirty Pounds Lawfull Money of Great Britain to the said Veit Landfelder well and truly in hand paid or secured to be paid by the said George Heckle at or before the sealing and Delivery of these presents for the absolute purchase of the Free hold and ______ of the Fifty acres of Land and Hereditaments herein after Mentioned and Described the receipt whereof is hereby Confessed and acknowledged and thereof and of and from every part thereof the said Veit Landfelder doth acquit exonerate and discharge the said George Heckle his Heirs Executors and administrators and for other good Causes and Consideration there unto Moveing He the said Veit Landfelder have granted aliened released and confirmed and by these presents Do grant alien release and confirm unto the said George Heckle (in his actual possession and being by virtue of a grant and Demise to him thereof made by the said Veit Landfelder for the term of six months by Indenture Bearing date the day next before the day of the date hereof and by force of the statute made for transferring uses into possession all that Tract of Land Containing fifty acres lying and being in the Town District of Ebenezer the said province of Georgia bounded so. East by Land of Peter Armsdorff So. West by land of Fredrich Bruckner and No. East by the Garden Lotts of Ebenezer and a Town Lot in Ebenezer containing sixty feet in front and Ninety Eight in Length No Nine Between Thomas Sweighoffer and Michel Rieser Junr. also a five acres garden Lott joining so. west on the above Tract of the time of survey Made which premises the said Veit Landfelder had to him his heirs and assigns by grant under the Broad Seal of the said province of Georgia bearing date the fifth day of April one thousand seven hundred & fifty seven at in and by the said Grant Remaining of Record in the Register Office of the said province reference thereunto being had the May and Doth more fully appear Together with all houses and houses Buildings and Improvements Timber Trees and other trees on the said Tract of Land and Lott being ways waters Fishings feedings priviledges Instruments advantages and heredaments whatsoever thereunto in any Manner appertaining and the reversion and Reversions remainder and remainders Rents Issues and profits thereof and all the Estate rights Title Interest property possession Claim and Demand whatsoever of them the said Veit Landfelder and Ursula his wife or either of them of in and to the same to have and to hold the said Tract of Land & Lotts with the Improvements appurtenances privledges and Hereditaments whatsoever hereby Granted unto the George Heckle and his Heirs to the only and absolute use and Behoof of him the said George Heckle his heirs and assigns for ever and the said Veit Landfelder all and singular the premises unto the said George Heckle his Heirs and assigns against him the said Veit Landfelder and all persons whomsoever shall and will warrant and forever Defend by these presents and the said Veit Landfelder for himself and his Heirs Doth Covenant and Grant to and with the said George Heckle His Heirs and assigns that he the said Veit Landfelder now hath good right full power and Lawful authority to grant release and Convey the said Tract of Land Lots and premises with the appurtenances unto and to the use of the said George Heckle his heirs and assigns for ever according to the Intent and true Meaning of these presents and also that he the said George Heckle his Heirs and assigns shall and May from time to time and at all Times hereafter peaceable and Quietly enter in to have hold occupy possess and enjoy all and singular the premises with the appurtenances hereby granted and receive and take the rents Issues and profits thereof without any Let Quit Molestation Eviction or Denial the said Veit Landfelder his heirs or assigns or of any other person or persons Claiming or to Claim by from or under him them or any of them freed and Discharded or otherwise well and Sufficiently ____ kept harmless indemnified of and from all former and other gifts Grants Bargains Seals Leases Jointures Dowers thirds (and especially of and from the Dower and thirds of the said Ursula the wife of the said Veit Landfelder) titles Troubles charges and incumbrances whatsoever at any time Hereafter had made committed or suffered by the said Veit Landfelder or by his Means spent privily or procurement and lastly that he the said Veit Landfelder and his Heirs and the said Ursula his wife and all and every other person or persons Lawfully equitably Claiming or to claim any Estate Title or Interest of in or to the herein before Granted and Released Hereditaments and premises or any part thereof by from or under them or other of them from time to time and at all times hereafter upon the reasonable request and at the proper Cost and Charges in the law of the said George Heckle his Heirs or assigns shall and will make acknowledge and Execute or cause and ____ to be made acknowledged and Executed all and every such further and other act and acts Devices and _____ in the Law whatsoever for the More perfect and absolute Conveying and Confirming all and singular the premises with the appurtenances hereby intended to be Granted unto and to the use of the said George Heckle his heirs and assigns for ever as by the said George Heckle his heirs or assigns or his or their Counsel learned in the Law shall be Devised and advised and Required In Witness whereof the said Parties here to these presents Interchangeable set their Hands and Seals the Day and Year within written ~~~~~~ Signed Sealed and Delivered in the Presence of his his Jacob ŦM Veit x Landfelder In presence of us mark ____ Johan Welch her Ursula x Landfelder mark Georgia Parish of St. Matthews Personally appeared before me John Florec (?)
