Powers and Edward Bird, both of Effingham County, became Bond as Guardian of Wallace W. Watt, Octavius G. Watt and Charles C. Watt, Minors and orphan children of Alexander Watts (dec.) in the sum of $6000 dollars. 1855, August 11--- This Indenture made between John B. Watt, Alexander J. Watt and Habersham P. Watt unto Lawrence T. Elkins acting Executor of the last Will and Testament of Milton H. Powers(dec.) and Edward Bird. Said John B. Watt, Alexander J. Watt and Habersham P. Watt conveyed unto said Lawrence T. Elkins and Edward Bird, that tract of land lying in Effingham County containing 892 acres, Known as the lands formerly owned by Hannah A.
