No. 492 State of North Carolina 22nd December 1781

 

As auditor For the District of Wilmington,

This is testifies that Samuel Sellars is allowed the
sum of twelve pounds and two schillings silver for
his service in the Militia in returned for pay roll
No. 400.

Samuel Sellers, Jr. Private, N.C Militia
Soldier was born about 1740 to Samuel Sellers Sr in Duplin County, NC on 11 May 1767 he married his cousin Zilphia Sellers. 
Samuel served in the N.C. Militia from Duplin in the Revolutionary War and a few years afterwards moved his family to Effingham County, Georgia.
