I Abraham Burton of the County and the State aforesaid being in perfect Health of body and sound memory, Do make, constitute and ordain this my last will and testament, in manner and form to wit: First I recommend my Soul to God that it __ me and body to a decent Christian burial at the digression of my executors - and as to this World's goods, I give and bequeath unto my son, Thomas Burton four Negroes, namely, James, Amy, Jaban and Taylor. Item the second: I lend to my daughter Dicy Bevil on feather bed and fruniture and also land her three Negroes during her natural life namely, Lucy, Tabb and Silva, and at her death the said three Negroes, Lucy, Tabb and Silva, with their increase (Lucy's child Dilsey) excepted, I give, bequeath to be equally divided amongst the children of the said Dicy and also, I lend her one Sealskin Trunk in for as above. Item the third: I give and bequeath unto my grand daughter Dicy Tucker, one Negro girl named Dilsey. Item the fourth: I give and bequeath unto my grand daughter Jenny Burton one feather bed and furniture. Item the fifth: I give and bequeath unto my grand son Abraham Burton one Negro girl name Biddy. Lastly I nominate and appoint my son Thomas Burton the Executor to this my last Will and Testament this tenth day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ten.
