Butler ====================================================================================== Information about Elmhurst. Elmhurst is located in Elberton. To the West it borders North Oliver ST, on the East is the building housing the Cemetery Office. I called the divisions of the cemetery Sections, they refer to them as Additions. Section one is the first as you enter this gate and on your right facing the cemetery. I have prepared an image to give you some insight to the layout. North Oliver St is not North of the Cemetery but heads north toward Hart co. It is the West side of the cemetery. A. The overall view of the main portion of the Cemetery 1-7 B. Section 8 is along the north side. C. There is no overall view of 10-12 which are sparsely occupied and on the east end. Row numbers in general begin in the West and increase in number as you go east. The other sections are not very well indicated by rows and there are many vacant lots. For some reason there is not a section 9. There are large maps in the Cemetery Office that will help you locate a given lot. The lots are not all the same, some containing many graves some one or two. There will be a cemetery book prepared for all the cemeteries we have done in Elbert co. It will contain a remarks column with information about the relationships of indviduals gleaned from this and additional sources. If interested contact janicebt@knology.net
