Rock Branch Church
In 1951 the Elberton Star newspaper carried a photo
of the members of Rock Branch Church in Elbert county
who were 70 years old or older and honored at a 
special service on Aug. 19. The article stated: 

"The Rev. J. C. West, 75, has been pastor of the 
church for 39 years.  Mrs. Mattie Greenway, 86, 
oldest member, and John Moore, 71, who has the most
children - 16 with 15 living - received special gifts.
