An Inventory and appraisement of the estate of Nathan Bond [Jr.], deceased, was
made on 29 Jun 1846 by Gardner McGarity, George Pulliam and William Loftis. In 
addition to household goods  and farm equipment, the inventory included 
slaves Fed, Sam, Jacob, Isaac, Winney, Malinda, Gaines and Willis; 400 acres of 
land on the waters of Carters Creek; 2 ox carts and 1 yoke of oxen; 9 hogs, 
15 sheep, 3 horses; a safe; 6 shares of stock in Elbert Factory;& notes from 
John S. Carpenter ($300), Joel Bond ($85) and Willis Bond ($60.) The total 
value of the estate was $4851. The appraisers were sworn before E. H. Harper, 
J.P. and the appraisement recorded on 8 Jul 1846 by Wm. B. Nelms, C.C.O. 
Thereafter on 27 Apr 1853 and in August 1853 the Executors Joel and Willis
Bond sold the perishable property of the estate and the slaves. The following

Arnold, Joseph Pulliam, Micajah Burden, George W. Harmon, M. P. Fleming, 
R. C. Adams, J. D. Adams, J. Edwards, Peter Cleveland, Charles Andrew, B. J. 
Brewer, M. Puliam, J. P. Sanders, H. Armstad, John Hutcherson, Thomas M. 
Hilley, Thomas R. Alexander, William M. Barrett, ___ Maxwell, John W. 
Anderson, C. Rice, William C. David, J. Hammond, George W. James, James S. 
Dudley, Allin Porterfield, V. H. Deadwyler, B. Lunsford, William A. Anderson, 
William H. Adams, Isaac N. Butler, Eppy W. Roebuck, John King, William B. 
McBee (?), Robert White, William Buffington, S. Porterfield, Russel Vawter, 
Edwrd McDaniel )?), William F. Davis, J. Carpenter, A. J. Pickereth (?), 
E. Rowsey, Drury Oglesby and a few others whose names could not be read
from the records in pages 177b through 179b of the Ordinary's Annuel Returns
book 1851-1854. The Executors gave their affidavit on 10 Aug 1853 and the 
sale was recorded on 15 Sep 1853 by Wm. B. Nelms, Ordinary of Elbert Co.
