Johnson Maley, guardian for Sidney Maley, a minor, makes the following return 
to the court of Ordinary of Elbert County, July Term 1834. Cash received from 
the estate of John Maley, deceased, of Virginia, his part, $173.50. Other 
receipts in the file are dated July and December, 1832, and in July, 1834, show 
small amounts of money received by the court from Johnson Maley as guardian of 
Sidney Maley, and $169.37 paid to Sidney Maley. In the September term, 1834, 
the file was shown as recorded on 2 July 1834 by Wm. B. Nelms, C.C.O., Court of 
Ordinary. 

Additional Comments:
Marriage records of Elbert Co. show Johnston Maley married to Mrs. Elizabeth L. 
Roebuck on 9 Jan 1831, and Sidney Maley married to Arrena Deadwyler on 26 Nov 
1835. Sidney Maley and Arena Deadwyler were the parents of Asa Maley who 
married on 19 Dec 1871 in Elbert Co. to Martha Emma Hall, daughter of Lt. James 
Chambers Hall and Mary Adaline Loftis. Asa and family later moved to Oklahoma 
where they both died in Elk City, OK.
