Moore 16 Mar 1829 Elbert Co, GA Elbert County, Georgia Superior Court ...Deed Book X..1835-1844 Page 208 John Booth to William Moore....Deed Georgia: Elbert County: This indenture made the sixteenth day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty nine between John Booth of the first part and William Moore of the other part, both of Elbert County and State aforesaid. Witnesseth that the said John Booth for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred and twenty four dollars and twenty cents in hand paid by the said William Moore the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, have granted bargained sold and conveyed, and by these presents grant bargain sell and convey unto the said William Moore, his heirs and assigns a certain tract or parcel of land containing eighty three acres situate lying & being the county aforesaid on Broad River commencing at a Sassafras on the East Band (sic) of said River thence N 28 E 43 Chains & 9 links to a Red Oak corner, thence N 63 W 14 Chs 50 links to a Persimmon Corner on a branch, thence down said Branch S 43 W 41 chs 50 links, to a water oak corner on the bank of said River. Thence down the meanders of said River to the beginning Corner. Which includes all the land to be conveyed be the same more or less. To have and to hold the said land and premises to the only proper use and benefits of him the said William Moore his heirs and assigns forever in fee simple. And I the Said John Booth do for myself my heirs Executors, and administrators warrant and defend the right and title of the aforesaid land and premises unto the said William Moore his heirs and assigns.
