Indenture bet Gabriel Booth Estate & James Moon 07 Dec 1847 Elbert Co, GA Elbert Co Deeds Book AA Page 135 Gabriel Booth Estate Isham Parham & William S. Booth to James B. Moon Georgia, Elbert County Pursuant to the last will and Testament of Gabriel Booth late of said county deceased after public notice made in the Augusta Chronicle and Sentinel on the first Tuesday in December (being the Seventh day of said Month) in the year of our Lord Eighteen Hundred and forty Seven we Isham Parham and William S. Booth the duly constituted executors of the last will and testament of the said Gabriel Booth deceased did put up and expose to sale to the highest bidder at Elberton in said county between the legal house of Sale for ready money a certain tract or parcel of land situate lying and being in said county on the waters of Broad River adjoining lands of James B. Moon, William R. Crook, Calvin J. Moore and others containing one hundred and ninety six acres more or less when James B. Moon being the highest and last bidder said tract or parcel of land was knocked off to him at & for the price of four hundred and fifty six dollars. Now therefore this indenture made and entered into this Seventh day of December in the year of our Lord one Thousand eight hundred and forty seven between the said Isham Parham of said County and William S. Booth of Harris County, the Executors of the last will and Testament of Gabriel Booth late of said county deceased of the one part and the said James B. Moon of said county of the other part. Witneseth that for and in consideration of the sum of four hundred and fifty six dollars cash in hand paid at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged the said Isham Parham and William S. Booth the Executors as afore said hath granted bargained sold and conveyed and by these presents doth grant bargain sell and convey unto the said James B. Moon his heirs and assigns all that tract or parcel of land situate lying and being in said county on the waters of Broad River adjoining lands of the said James B. Moon, William R. Crook, Calvin J. Moore and others enclosed in the following lines. to wit: beginning at a Red oak corner on Elizabeth Booths line thence S 19 W 12 20 chains to a pine corner thence N 74. W19.90 chains to a white oak corner. thence S 18 1/2 W 34.75 chains to a Pine corner. Thence S 80 1/4 E 10.75 chains to a stake corner. thence N 72 1/2 E 20.20 chains to a Pine corner. thence S 15 E 13.40 chains to a Post oak corner. thence N 45 E 21.10 chains to a stake Corner. thence N 45 W 15 Chains to a Post Oak Corner. thence N 50 E 42 chains to a Pine Corner Thence N 43 1/4 W 21.50 chains to a Pine Corner. Thence 146 2/4 W 28.70 Chains to the beginning Red oak corner containing one hundred and eighty six acres be the same more of less with all the rights and appurtenances to said track or parcel of land in anywise appertaining or belonging To have and to hold said tract or parcel of land unto him the said James B.
