All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/ga/gafiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Transcribed by Chandler Eavenson March 26, 2005 Power of Attorney John Beck to Gaines Thompson, 8 Sep 1812 The following appears in Elbert Co., GA Deed Book O, Page70-71: "Georgia, Elbert County) Know all men by these presents that I John Beck of the State and County aforesaid have this day and by these presents constitute, nominate and appoint by trusty friend Gaines Thompson of the State and County aforesaid my true and lawful attorney, for me, in my name and for every use and benefit to act and transact all business in which I am concerned in a certain Judgement obtained in the State and County aforeaid against a certain Benjamin Head formerly of the State of Georgia and County of Morgan and settlements to make to ask demand sue for and recover and receipt and other acquitances to give I the said John Beck satisfying and confirming whatsoever my said attorney or others by him appointed my lawfully __ in the premises In Testimony Whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 8th September 1812.
