Martin Deadwyler To Calvin J.Moore

Georgia, Elbert County: 
This Indenture made the 7th day of December one Thousand Eight hundred 
and Forty Three. between Martin Deadwyler of the one part and Calvin 
J. Moore of the other part both of the County of Elbert and State 
aforesaid. Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of Three 
Hundred & fifty one Dollars & fifteen cents to him in hand paid by the 
said Calvin J. Moore at or before the sealing and delivering of these 
presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath bargained and 
sold and conveyed unto the said Calvin J. Moore his heirs and assigns 
all that tract or parcel of land situated in the County of Elbert and 
on the water of Broad River containing two Hundred and thirty four 
acres & one tenth more or less butting and bounding as follows to
wit. Beginning at a pine corner thence S 43 E 21 chains and 50 links 
to a pine. thence S 50 west 42 chains 7 50 links to a post O. Thence 
S 48 1/4 E 34 Chains & 36 links to a stake thence N 436. 36 Chains to 
a stake thence N 40 West 3 chains to a Spanish O. thence N 52 E to a 
Hickory thence N 23 1/4 E 26 and 25 links to a Red O. thence a straight 
line to the beginning pine corner to have and to hold unto the said 
Moore his heirs and assigns for ever in fee Simple and the said Martin 
Deadwyler for himself his heirs He will and doth by these presents will 
warrant and forever defend the right and title of the aforesaid Lot of 
land and premises and every part thereof with all and Singular the rights
members and appurtenances thereunto belonging unto the said Calvin J. 
Moore his heirs and assigns and against the lawful claims of
all other persons claiming. In witness whereof the said Martin 
Deadwyler hath hereunto set his hand & seal in presents of enter 
lined (?) Before
