Georgia		:    This Indenture made this twenty ninth day of
		:    December in the year of our Lord Eighteen hundred 
Elbert County	:    and twenty seven between Moses Duncan of the county 
		     & State aforesaid of the one part and William Ray of 
the same place of the other part. Witnesseth that the said Moses Duncan 
for and in consideration of the sum of thirty dollars in hand paid the 
receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained sold and 
conveyed unto the said William Ray his heirs and assigns all that tract 
or parcel of land situate lying and being in the county aforesaid on the 
north fork of Beaver Dam Creek containing 14 1/4 acres more or less 
beginning at a oak post corner on Henry Duncan's land running S 73 E 10 
chains to a chestnut corner thence north 16 West 14 chains 38 links to 
a oak post corner thence south 73 West 10 chains to a chestnut post then 
south sixteen East 14 chains and thirty eight links to a post oak corner 
which is the beginning corner to have and to hold said tract or parcel 
of land unto him the said William Ray his heirs and assigns together 
with all and singular the rights members and appurtenances thereof to 
the land in any manner belonging to his and their own proper use benefit 
and behoove  in fee simple and the said Moses Duncan for
