DUNCAN  TO  RAY     Elbert County, Georgia   Deed Book V  page 152


Georgia		:    This Indenture [made] this twenty sixth day of
		:    March Eighteen hundred and twenty eight
Elbert County	:    between Nathaniel Duncan of the county of Franklin 
		     And the State aforesaid of the one part and William 
Ray of the county & state aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth that 
for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred & twenty dollars in 
hand paid by the said William Ray the receipt whereof is hereby 
acknowledged hath bargained sold and conveyed unto the said William Ray 
his heirs and assigns all that tract or parcel of land situate lying and 
being in the county aforesaid on the North fork of Beaver Dam Creek 
containing fifty acres more or less bounded as follows: beginning at 
a pine corner running north 16 W to a post oak thence north 14 East to a
post oak corner thence south 30 East to a red oak corner thence to the 
beginning corner which said land I the said Nathaniel Duncan for myself 
my heirs and assigns for the said William Ray his heirs and assigns  
will warrant and forever defend the claims right and title on demand of 
all and every person or persons whatsoever unto the said William Ray 
his executor and administrator forever in fee simple in witness whereof 
I have hereunto set my hand and seal the year and date mentioned in 
presence of
