Whereas, the said Joseph Davis sold unto the said Bibb, as much of his land whereon he now lives called Parker’s Tract, adjoining Beaverdam Creek for the use of a mill race to be cut at the most convent place beginning above the but of the dam and running from thence along the most convent way until it empties into the said Beaverdam Creek and the said Davis doth agree to let the said Bibb have 10 yards wide over the said race or canal from the beginning to the end and for and in consideration of $20 dollars, $5. of which to him in land paid the said Bibb is at liberty to make use of timber on any part of the whole tract of land for the use of the mill and mill dam it is to be further understood that after the said mill is erected it should prove the means of imposing the health of the said Davis family, then in that case the said Davis hath it in purchase the remainder part of the said tract of land called Parkers Tract with all the improvements thereon and in consideration of the sum of 40 pounds (dollars and 4 Shillings and 8 Pence).
