Faulkner & James Bell 04 Sep 1841 Elbert Co, GA Elbert Co Deeds Book AA Page 124 William Faulkner to James Bell, Sr. Georgia, Elbert County; This Indenture made this fourth day of September in the year Eighteen Hundred & forty one Between Wm Faulkner of the one part of the County & State aforesaid & James Bell, Snr of the State aforesaid & County of Oglethorpe of the other part Witnesseth that for & in consideration of his obligation to do so he the said Wm Faulkner doth this day relinquish & convey unto the said James his right title & claim unto a certain tract or parcel of land situate lying & being in the State aforesaid & County of Carroll containing two hundred two & a half acres more or less lying in the fourth district of said Carrroll County known & distinguished in the plan of said district by lot no. ninety two having such shape or marks & shall be seen in a plat of the same being the same drawn in one of the former land lotteries by Sarah Moon widow of Elbert County now the said Wm Faulkner as husband & representative of said Sarah now Sarah Faulkner do warrant & defend the right & title of said land & premises unto the said James his heirs & assigns against the claim or claims of myself & my heirs only unto him the said James his heirs & assigns of have & to hold to his and their own proper use benefit and behoof forever in fee Simple in testimony hereof the said Wm. hath hereunto set his hand & seal this day & year above written Wm Faulkner. Smith a Justice of the Peace in and for said county and being sworn saith that he saw William Faulkner sign seal and deliver the within deed for the purposes therein stated and that this deponent signed the same as a witness and saw Asa E .
