Indenture bet William Faulkner & Shelton Oliver 26 Sep 1833 Elbert Co, GA Superior Court Elbert County Deeds Book BB 1852-1857 Page 149 Deed Book BB10:27 AM William Faulkner To Shelton Oliver Georgia, Elbert County: This Indenture made this 26th day of September in the year of our Lord one Thousand eight hundred and thirty three between William Faulkner of the one part and Shelton Oliver of the other both of the State and county aforesaid Witnesseth: that the said William Faulkner hath for and in consideration of the sum of Four hundred dollars to him in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have granted bargained and sold, and do by these presents grant bargain sell and convey unto the said Shelton Oliver his heirs and assigns a certain tract or parcel of land situate lying and being in the State and County aforesaid on Doves Creek adjoining the said William Faulkner, Wm Oglesby, Lindsay Johnson, Wm Hicks, Robert Booth and Thomas Moore's lands containing three hundred and twenty seven acres be the same more or less and having the following boundaries to wit, Beginning at a Black Gum corner running thence S 14 E 50 chains & 80 links to a Post Oak Corner, thence S 42 E 8 chains to a Pine corner thence S 33 W 23 chains & 50 links to a Spanish Oak corner, thence 89 W 43 chains & 50 links to a Pine corner, thence N 46 W 32 chains to a white oak Corner, thence N 53 W 6 chains to a Post Oak corner thence N 62 W 12 chains and 50 links to a Dogwood Corner, thence N 9 E 15 chains to a Red Oak Corner and Thence N 44 E 9 chains and 85 chains to a Red Oak corner, thence N 14 E 1 Chains and 84 links to a Beach corner, then S 87 1/2 E 10 chains and 21 links to a Black Gum Corner, thence N 54 E 10 chains to a Pine Corner, thence N 70 E 6 chains to a sweet Gum Corner Thence N 77 E 6 Chains & 84 links to a Sassafras corner, thence S 62 E 10 chains to a Persimmon corner, thence S 48 E 5 chains and 19 links to Persimmon corner, thence S 5 W 15 chains to a Black Gum corner, thence S 64 W 3 chains to the Beginning Black Gum corner. To have and to hold the above described land & premises to the said Shelton Oliver his heirs and assigns forever in fee simple. I the said William Falkner do forever warrant and defend the right and title thereof against myself my heirs and assigns or against the claim or claims of any other person or persons whatever.
