1849, June 16—Know all men by these presents, that I, Henry ____ Fleming of 
Elbert County, Georgia, for and in consideration of the sum of $900 Dollars, 
sold unto James Edward Calhoun, Sr. of Abbeville District, South Carolina, all 
that tract or parcel of land lying on the Savannah River at that part of it 
called Trotters Shoals, adjoining lands of Bevill, Allen, Tait [Tate] and 
Armstead, containing 263 acres as the attached Plat doth represent.
Recorded the 2nd day of July 1850
