Cedar Creek-ford-Jones Ferry

1867, December 14—This Indenture made between George G. Fortson unto Lucy E. 
Stovall, both of Elbert County.  For and in consideration of the sum of $150 
dollars,
sold and conveyed all that tract of land on Cedar Creek bounded as follows; 
commencing at rock corner on the road leading from Elberton to Jones Ferry 
running West with the fence to an ash corner on the branch; thence down the 
branch to a beech; thence South straight line to a willow corner on said 
branch; thence down said branch to an ash corner on the creek; thence Southwest 
to an elm corner to Oliver’s line; thence with Oliver’s line to Jones’ line; 
thence with Jones line to the ford on Cedar Creek; thence up the road to the 
beginning, containing 140 acres.
