1866, November 12--- Court of Ordinary, Elbert County, Georgia granted Francis 
Gaines, Jr. and John C. Deadwyler Adm’rs. of George Gaines (dec.)
This Indenture made between said Francis Gaines, Jr. and John C. Deadwyler as 
aforesaid of George Gaines (dec.) unto Alfred Oliver, all of Elbert County.  
For and in consideration of the sum of $2050 dollars, sell & convey 76 96/100 
acres on Doves Creek, known as Gaines Mill tract.    [with a plat]

1866, November 12--- This Indenture made between Alfred Oliver unto John C. 
Dawdler.  For and in consideration of the sum of $1025 dollars sell & convey an 
undivided half of a tract on Doves Creek known as the Gaines Mill tract 
containing
76 96/100 acres.
