Georgia         This Indenture made this 30 day of January in the year of our 
Lord 
one Thousand  eight hundred & one between John Andrew of the County of Elbert 
and State aforesaid on the one part & George Ward of the State of Deleware and 
County of Newcastle on the other part, Witnesseth that whereas the Said John 
Andrew Stands Indebted on Bond bearing date the eleventh day of April in the 
year of our Lord one Thousand Seven hundred and Ninety Nine to the Said George 
Ward in the penal Sum of Three Thousand Six hundred and thirty one dollars, 
which was to have been discharged by the payment of eighteen hundred & fifteen 
dollars & fifty cents on or before the first day of September in the year of 
our Lord one Thousand Seven hundred & Ninety nine now past, Now this Indenture 
Witnesseth, that the Said John Andrew for the purpose of Securing to him the 
Said George Ward the Sum of money due on Said Bond & also in consideration of 
the of the further sum of one hundred dollars to him in hand, the receipt 
whereof he doth hereby acknowledge, hath granted bargained Sold, released & 
confirmed & by these Presents Doth Grant Bargain Sell, release & against the 
Claim of him the Said John Andrew his Heirs and assigns & against the claim of 
all other persons whatsoever, will forever warrant & defend, Provided always 
Nevertheless that if the above bound John Andrew Shall on or before the first 
day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and Two, 
fully pay off, content & discharge unto him the Said George Ward, or his atty. 
Heirs or assigns the Sum of Eighteen hundred and fifteen dollars & fifty cents, 
the amount contained in the condition of Said Bond, together with all Interest 
which has or may hereafter accrue on Said bond, then and in that Case all and 
Singular the obligations & Conditions herein before entered into by him the 
Said John Andrew, Shall be considered as of None effect & he Stand discharged 
from the Same, otherwise to remain in full force and virtue, In Testemoney 
whereof he the Said John Andrew hath hereunto Set his hand and Seal the day and 
year first afore Written
