On waters of Deep Creek
Written: March 8, 1796
Recorded: March 16, 1799

Know all men by these presents that I William Hall of the County of Franklin 
and State of Georgia for and in consideration of the sum of thirty seven pounds 
ten shillings the receipt of which is hereby acknowledge hath bargained an sold 
unto Benjamin Springer of the County of Elbert and that afforsaid or track of 
land in the County of Elbert on the waters of deep creek Whereon the said 
Springer now lives containing two hundred acres be the same more or less being 
part of a track of land surveyed originaly for me Beginning on a x Post 0 on 
the N.E. side of the creek thence N20E29 chains to a BO thence N8_W37 1/2 
chains to a hickory thence N20W.30 chains to a hickory thence S70W30 chains to 
a PO thence S20E_5 chains to a pine thence S70W.6 chains to hickory and thence 
to the beginning with all the right title interest claim or Dem and of me or my 
heirs of in to or out of the same and I do bind myself my heirs _0 to warrant 
and defend the title of said land against myself and my heirs and againts all 
and ____other person or persons Whatsoever having any lawful claim against the 
same unto the said Benjamin Springer his heirs and assigns to have and to hold 
the said land for his and their only proper use and behoof forever in Witness 
Whereof I have hereunto set hand and seal this eight day of March one thousand 
seven hundred ninty six.
