J. Hall duly constituted Executor of the estate of Mary A. Hall late of said county deceased and Mrs. Martha E. Maley of said county Witness, that in pursuance of an order of the Court of Ordinary of Elbert County regularly granted at the October Term 1885 of said court authorizing the said Geo. J. Hall, Executor as aforesaid to sell the real estate of said deceased the said Geo. J. Hall as Executor as aforesaid legally advertised for sale in the Elberton Gazette a newspaper published in said county of Elbert, on the first Tuesday in December 1885, the tract of land hereinafter described as the property of said deceased, and on the aforesaid 1st Tuesday in December 1885 within the legal hours of sale did expose said land for sale according to law at the Courthouse ____ in said county when the same was bid off by the said Martha E. Maley at and for the sum of three thousand one hundred and fifteen dollars. Now the said George J. Hall as Executor aforesaid for and in consideration of the aforesaid sum of three thousand one hundred and fifteen dollars to him in hand paid does hereby sell and convey unto the said Martha E. Maley her heirs and assigns the aforesaid land to wit - One tract of land in said county on the waters of Beaverdam creek joining lands of A. J. Bond Robt. White and tracts No 1-3 and 5 of said estate and known as plat No 2 Home Place and containing three hundred and twelve acres more or less (Less one half acre reserved as a grave yard) and fully described in a plat of the same made by R. W. Cleveland, C.S.E.C. October 26 1885. To have and to hold said described premises in as complete a manner as the said Mary A. Hall had and held the same. In witness whereof the said Geo. J.
